Course Description
Based on one of our most popular onsite trainings, this video-based module clearly explains the importance of interpersonal skills to workforce development success. While the specific skills covered apply equally across programs, Welfare Transition Program case examples are used to provide tips for putting skills into practice and to demonstrate real-world effectiveness.
Case Managers must strike the perfect balance between keeping cases in compliance and effectively engaging participants. The interpersonal skills covered in this course help both new and existing Case Managers learn to strike that balance by building strong relationships with each individual participant—relationships that will drive your success.
Specifically, this course covers the importance of developing rapport, active listening, and motivating, supporting and empowering participants—and illustrates exactly how these interpersonal skills enable successful Case Managers to create effective IRPs that guide participants through the complexities of the WTP system and on to self-sufficiency. NOTE: Access to course ends 90-days after course registration.
