Course Description
Florida’s network of workforce development professionals manages the Employment and Training component of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP. This course is designed to help those professionals manage the program effectively and help ABAWDs become self-sufficient.
In Part One of this course bundle, you'll review the history of SNAP and the overall goals of SNAP E&T. After that, the course progresses through the complete case life-cycle, beginning in this module with a discussion of the ABAWD's Initial Engagement Activities and a review of the 8 Work Components, followed by an in-depth discussion of the Work Component assignment process. This module also covers important rules of thumb and best practices that foster your region’s success. Note: Course access ends 90 days after registration.
